Read John 16:27-33

I want you to try and put yourself in the places of the disciples as you read this passage. They seem so confused. Jesus was telling them that He was leaving, yet they had no idea where He was going. In the same way, we often do not understand God’s ways. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are (God’s) ways higher than your ways and (God’s) thoughts higher than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9). This verse has helped me through many times when I am overwhelmed and have trouble seeing God’s purposes in all I am going through.
In this world, we are unfortunately GUARENTEED troubles. However, we are also assured that Christ has already overcome the world (vs. 33)! “Take heart!” What beautiful words urging us to surrender our troubled hearts to the Lord. Take your heart and all that is burdening it and give it to the Lord today. His ways are much higher than our ways; He is 100% worthy of our trust!

  1. Yeah, its so good to know that we are never alone because God is always with us. and even though its confusing not knowing God's ways like the disciples were, its actually so cool because we get to just trust God and follow Him instead of trying to fix everything ourselves which would be super stressful haha. The speaker at Fca last night said one good thing, That in tough times God tells us to rejoice in Him, even if we're being persecuted. And in great times, like when the disciples came back after casting demons out of people Jesus told them to rejoice in God, not on anything of the world. So it doesnt matter if its good or bad, like we shouldnt rejoice in our awesome relationship like i used to, but just rejoice in God because he is the Establisher, the King and the One in control of it anyways haha. Good stuff
