Read John 16:27-33

I want you to try and put yourself in the places of the disciples as you read this passage. They seem so confused. Jesus was telling them that He was leaving, yet they had no idea where He was going. In the same way, we often do not understand God’s ways. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are (God’s) ways higher than your ways and (God’s) thoughts higher than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:9). This verse has helped me through many times when I am overwhelmed and have trouble seeing God’s purposes in all I am going through.
In this world, we are unfortunately GUARENTEED troubles. However, we are also assured that Christ has already overcome the world (vs. 33)! “Take heart!” What beautiful words urging us to surrender our troubled hearts to the Lord. Take your heart and all that is burdening it and give it to the Lord today. His ways are much higher than our ways; He is 100% worthy of our trust!

Happy birthday grandma Emily & happy getting pregnant day!

My mom sent me this message this morning and I'm just overwhelmed with the miracles God blesses all His children with. After the doctors told my mom that she would NEVER be able to have kids and after trying for so long to get pregnant she finally did today 18 years ago :) this is what she sent me:

Today is a day I always celebrate!! It is my sweet grandmom Emily's birthday AND the day I got pregnant with my miracle babies!! It seems like yesterday I was laying all day praying over embryos to attach and already you are beautiful amazing women pursuing God! Music blaring, clothes and makeup flying, even bickering as you try to make it to Academy for Christ on time so you can be a light in your school!! One of the silent prayers this day 18 years ago was that if God would let me have a baby I would do all I could to raise it to love and honor Him. I just give Him all the glory today and i am so grateful to Him to have been blessed with His daughters. I love you so much and I am so proud of the beautiful woman you are today. It has been an honor to be your mom!! Have an amazing day :)
